AL Exam is similar to HSC in Australia, a public exam for Secondary School Students. Candidates of AL Exam (in fact, only for those who got high grades) will be admitted to uni. However, Hong Kong students face the problem of insufficent uni places. Every year, lots of students fail to being admitted by uni in Hong Kong and need to find their path after their secondary school study: either continuous study in other institutions or work.
That's why I am here in Sydney: I got poor result for the AL Exam last year >_<
On the other hand, I feel really lucky that I can have the chance to study abroad, get the financial support from my family. If not, I may lose the chance to have a degree or, the worst, need to work straight a way after the secondary school life.
Then, I will probably not having an independent life in overseas that I have now. Of course, most importantly, meet my lovely and "super" nice classmates, teachers and all my dear friends here. Love you all so much**
By the way, the release of this year's AL Exam reminds me the reason why I am here. So I should really work hard!!! (though I am soooo lazy most of the time :P)
Let's Fright for our Bright Future!!
