Parents

I have read an article before which talks about parents, it is originally in Chinese:

If you are born in a normal family,
If your parents are still alive.

No matter you are living with them or not,
If one day, you discovered that your mother's kitchen is not as clean as before.

If one day, you discovered that the dishes at home are not clean.

If one day, you discovered that your mother's pot is not shiny.

If one day, you discovered that your father's plants become wither.

If one day, you discovered that the funitures at home are covered with dust.

If one day, you discovered that your mother's dishes are too salty and not delicious.

If one day, you discovered that your parents always forget to turn off the gas.

If one day, you discovered that your old parents lost their habits,
like they don't want to take bath every day.

If one day, you discovered that your parents don't like to eat fresh vegetables and fruits.

If one day, you discovered that your parents like to eat soft vegetables which have cooked for a long time.

If one day, you discovered that your parents like eating soft food.

If one day, you discovered that they react slowly even when they across the road.

If one day, you discovered that they keep caughing when they are having meals.

Don't misunderstand they have catched a cold or a flu,

If one day, you discovered that they don't like going out.
If that day really comes,

I want to tell you, you should realise that your parents really getting old.
Their organs become old and need someone to take care.

If you could not look after them, please at least find someone to take good care of them.

And please visit them frequently.
Don't let them feel that they are being left behind.

Everyone would get old.

Our parents got old before us.

We should think in their position and take care of them,

Then we will have patient and we will not complain.

When parents can not look after themselves anymore, we as their children should be aware,
They may not able to do something even for the basic ones.

It all begins after we were born,
Our parents take good care of us:
Change the napkins, look after us day and night when we were sick,
Teach us the basic of living, give financial support for our studies and entertainments.
Their concerns to us never stop.

If one day,
They couldn't move anymore,
We should change our position, right?
Being a son or daughter should remember
The life of our parents are just like the future of us,
We should show filial devotion for our parents if we have chance.

If one day,
you got old just like your parents, what kind of life do you want to have?
Do yo aware of your parents?

What our parents have done for us are always more than what we have done for them.

So, being a responsible son or daughter, we should treat our parents as good as we can. Actually not only after our parents got old, we should treat them the best right from this moment.
If not, sure we will regret afterwards.

Shopping

Yesterday, I have spent half of the day SHOPPING!!
A long march from 2pm-7pm, Central -> Town Hall -> Central.

I really thanks Ms ArYa accompanied me as I always always take long time to considerate when I buy clothes, but actually she brought so much more than mine.
I am a devil... haha, I always persuade others to buy. Of course, Ms ArYa became the victim yesterday. So, next time if you want to buy anything, call me to accompany you. I am sure you will buy a lot.

In fact, it is really my very first time to go shopping here (in my eyes, only buy clothes is "shopping"), that means I brought clothes here for the first time. Before, I haven't brought any since I have been here (Oct 06). I love shopping, but each time when I exchange the price of that clothes from AU$ into HK$..... Oh, it is too expensive. I just think about I can buy the same goods in HK with only 2/3 of the price, then I just leave the store...

Yesterday, I saw so many stores are on sale, so finally....

HaHa... actually what I've brought is not that expensive...
the skirt is $26 (50% off & 10%off!!)
the jeans is $44.95 (although I prefer to buy a better quality one, I couldn't find one that suits me...)

Um.... let me save more money for next Shopping Day.

Final Decision

Recently, I am in the dilemma of when should I go back to my home country for holiday.
The coming semester break on mid-Sep OR The end of diploma on mid-Jan??

Actually, I have not go back to Hong Kong for almost a year already... because I came here on Oct 06. That means I have not go back for nearly a year already. I really miss my family, friends and the food.

But if I can wait until mid-Jan, I can celebrate the Chinese New Year in Hong Kong, as well as celebrate the end of diploma~~ That means double meanings, rather than only go back for holiday!!

On the other hand, my mum prefer me to go back on the coming holiday. Although she have not admitted verbally, I know the underlying reason is she miss me. She thinks it is too long to wait until 1/2 year later.

Sure, the best solution is go back on both vocations, but for financial reason...
So....
my final decision would be...
.
.
.
.
.
.
wait until the end of diploma.
With the support of all my lovely friend here, I believe I can wait for few more months.
It would be so great to go back at the final end... look forward.

By the way, I feel so warm when I discovered the reason why my mum wants me to come back on the coming holiday. In fact, I have the same feeling as my mum...
My dearest dearest, I really really love you and miss you so much.
(Haha, actually I love my whole family, not only my mum.)

SURPRISE

Two days ago, I have received the parcel from my parents!! Finally!!

This parcel was sent on 23rd of April, that means nearly 3 months ago!!
Because they sent this parcel by ship, I already expected to receive it around the end of May. This is also the receiving date that the postal staff in Hong Kong told my mum.
Day after day, until mid-June, I already lost my hope. I think may be the parcel has been "missent" to other places or taken away by the custom (because there are so many food inside which may break the mailing regulations).

On thursday night.... I am so surprised when I receive a notice that I have to pick up "something" from the post office. Actually I don't expect it is the parcel that sent 3 months ago. But, in fact, I really hope this is the one. Finally...

I am so happy ^^
This parcel gathered all the stuff that I "ordered" 3 months ago. (Thanks to my mum that spent so much time on buying and gathering them.) Although most of them are not important, some of them I can even buy in Sydney, the feeling of receiving something from HOME is far more important than the usefulness of those stuff~~~

I found the content of the parcel is really weird, because I have already forgot what I want 3 months ago. HaHa... I really wonder why I asked my mum to send me so many snacks: biscuits, chocolate, candies, rice crackers... (I forgot to count as I start eating them immediately after I unwrapped the parcel. I recalled there are around 10 different packs of snacks in total.) Of course, there are some clothes and other essentials for girls in the parcel.

When I told my mum that I have received the parcel and eatten 1/2 of those snacks within a day. She said "I have spent more than a week to gather those snacks, but you finished them in one day?! BEWARE that you will become fat again!!" I am so scared about this... actually I have finished 4/5 of those snacks at this moment. Those taste of Hong Kong & Japanese snacks is so great. I miss it and love it so much!!

nature VS nurture

Do you remeber the last video shown in yesterday's class?

The one about nurturing a baby boy as a girl.

Put aside if it is fair or not to the baby who have no say about 'choosing' to become a girl or a boy. (of course it is not fair to 'him'!!)

BUT, i am more terrified by the act of scientists.

Using a human, a living human with blood and flesh (actually he is just a baby!!!) to be the tester in the experiment. I really feel sick about it.

AND, the foolish, arrogant act of human being.

People try to find ways to fight against nature, what do they want to prove? Human can prevail nature?

Have they consider about even they can turn a baby boy into a girl by nurturing him the other way round, his mental anguish would beyond imagination and follow 'him' for 'his' entire life?

Of Course, there are so many contradiction between science and nature. Sure i am not dening all the work of scientists. In fact, I really appreciate them: their contribution on improving our lives. Thanks for those scientific discovery found everyday.

However, refering to this case, i am just shocked.

Time Goes By - What happen a year later?

Few days ago was the release day of this year's AL Exam in Hong Kong.

AL Exam is similar to HSC in Australia, a public exam for Secondary School Students. Candidates of AL Exam (in fact, only for those who got high grades) will be admitted to uni. However, Hong Kong students face the problem of insufficent uni places. Every year, lots of students fail to being admitted by uni in Hong Kong and need to find their path after their secondary school study: either continuous study in other institutions or work.

That's why I am here in Sydney: I got poor result for the AL Exam last year >_<
On the other hand, I feel really lucky that I can have the chance to study abroad, get the financial support from my family. If not, I may lose the chance to have a degree or, the worst, need to work straight a way after the secondary school life.

Then, I will probably not having an independent life in overseas that I have now. Of course, most importantly, meet my lovely and "super" nice classmates, teachers and all my dear friends here. Love you all so much**

By the way, the release of this year's AL Exam reminds me the reason why I am here. So I should really work hard!!! (though I am soooo lazy most of the time :P)

Let's Fright for our Bright Future!!
